AER delivered the M&E design and consultancy services for the refurbished Neuroradiology Department located on level 5 of the New Victoria Wing at the RVI.
The upgraded facility included a new MRI suite and associated accommodation for the installation of the new Siemens Aera 1.5 Tesla scanner. The works included major adaption and extension of mechanical and electrical services.
The department remained fully operational at all times during the works.
Due to the difficulties involved with adding an additional MRI unit into an existing tight space AE Robb were involved from the initial feasibility stage of the project working with RVI Estates department and then novated to main contractor to complete the contract design.
